In class we have been learning about how our government works. A lot of information has been presented to you and I know that it is overwhelming at first. Don't worry, Chillax! Check out the videos, links, and pictures below to help you get a better understanding of how our government works to protect our freedom. It all began with 3 Pieces of Paper...Three Branches of Government Our government is divided into three branches as outlined in the Constitution. These three branches are; Executive, Judicial, and Legislative. The purpose of this is to divide the power so that one branch of government does not become more powerful than another. Each branch of government has a specific purpose. To learn more check out the SchoolHouse Rock and BrainPop videos below. After watching the videos, click on the activities button (yellow pencil) in the BrainPop window and complete the matching worksheet. Print this out when your finished and hand it in to your teacher. When you feel confident that you understand the material, take the quiz on BrainPop. Print this out too and turn it in to your teacher.
